Second Cup Royalty Income Fund announces changes to the board and officers of Second Cup GP Inc.

MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 9 /CNW/ - Second Cup Royalty Income Fund (the
"Fund") wishes to announce that the following individuals have been appointed
to the board of directors of Second Cup GP Inc. ("GP Inc."): Bryna Goldberg,
Michael Rosicki and Rita Toporowski.
Ms. Goldberg recently retired as Executive Vice President Legal Affairs,
General Counsel and Secretary for Shoppers Drug Mart Ltd. and played a key
role in transitioning Shoppers through a leveraged buy-out transaction and
subsequent IPO. She has over 20 years of experience in the retail industry in
Canada.
Mr. Rosicki is currently a trustee of the Fund. Mr. Rosicki is the former
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Parmalat North America.
Ms. Toporowski is currently Vice-President Corporate Planning &
Development, Dinecorp Hospitality Inc. (an affiliate of The Second Cup Ltd.)
and brings to the board over 15 years of experience in various senior level
roles within the airline industry, including President Air Canada Vacations
and Senior Director Six Sigma for Air Canada.
The Fund also wishes to announce that Gabriel Tsampalieros has resigned
from the board of directors and as Chief Executive Officer of GP Inc. Mr.
Tsampalieros will continue to serve as a director and as the Executive
Chairman of The Second Cup Ltd., which Mr. Tsampalieros indirectly owns.

experience that they bring will enhance the effectiveness of the board,"
commented David Bloom, Chairman of the board of trustees of the Fund. "We
thank Gabe for serving as a director and officer to GP Inc. and are pleased
that his contribution will continue through his roles with The Second Cup
Ltd."
GP Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Fund and serves as the
trustee of the general partner of Second Cup Trade-Marks Limited Partnership
and also provides certain administrative and advisory services to the Fund.

partnership, the Canadian trade-marks and other intellectual property and
